Games Based Blogging update

If you don’t know anything about this project then please take the time to briefly read this blog post by my students:

One of the first people to pilot this project on behalf of my students is an ICT teacher called Ray Chambers.

Ray is a really amazing teacher, extremely creative, confident and competent even after only teaching a couple of years. I was lucky to present at BETT last year with Ray on the Microsoft stand, he is also quite bizarrely brilliant at River dancing and I don’t mean the one with water. If you don’t follow Ray then please do he works at Lodge Park School in Corby and is known as @lanky_boy_ray on twitter but I am not sure why. You can read more about how the games based blogging unit worked for him and his students in his recent blog post:

I had an email from my students recently saying that three international teachers, two from the USA and one from India have taken up the resources to try in their schools and we hope more will do in the future.

If you would like the resources and more information sent to you about this project then please email the students at:

gamesbasedblogging@live.co.uk

The resources are completely free as the students have developed them themselves and have also tried them out on 5 of the schools partner primary schools. The Microsoft tools of Kodu, Livewriter and WordPress are also free to download. The students have done all the hard work for you and all you have to do is request the resources and give it a try – so if you are stuck for something to do in September then email them.
