This is a great free tool that you don’t even need to sign up to that lays over google maps. Basically you can customize your own maps and save them for others to use just share the link.
You can you draw lines, place marks on different places, add a description and information about a certain place on the map, basically everything you can do on google maps but it is just easier. Here is one I made earlier.
