Global Citizens – One idea that can change the world – post 10 from #nc10

This is a great new resource for all schools and it is free to use. Have a quick read of my last post 9.

Basically you get your students to sign up and register for free by visiting the site here: www.ssatrust.org.uk/globalcitizens (need to be 13 and over)

They then simply come up with a good idea that will change the world, so make a difference within their local, national or global community then go to share their idea at the top of the page. The students then need to submit an image representing their idea, a short video that is uploaded to youtube and finally a short amount of text (500 characters) that explains how their idea works and then they submit it.

Once submitted others can post comments or click to support their idea. There are already around 20 or more ideas from students on there so go on there and have a look and then get your students to come up with their own ideas.

Here is the link to the Race for Lights idea that Sir Bob Geldof didn’t really like:

Why not post a comment and tell the students what you think of it?
