Kraziness at the Kremlin #mspil

Crazy KremlinI am sure you know that Microsoft’s European Innovative Education Forum is going on at the moment in Moscow, it actually ends with the gala dinner tonight where the European award winners will be announced.

You can follow the tweets from the conference here: #mspil

You can also read more about the conference here on David Rogers blog who won a European award in Berlin at last year’s conference: http://daviderogers.blogspot.com/2011/03/looking-ahead-to-microsoft-partners-in.html

These Education forums sponsored and organised by Microsoft are one of the best forms of professional development opportunities that a teacher could have, they are free if you are lucky to get on one – in fact the UK one on Manchester in December was open to all: http://bit.ly/dYfR4Z

They have numerous keynote speakers but perhaps the best part is the networking with other teachers which allows you to share ideas and develop these in your own classroom.

I know that at this moment in time really innovative and creative teachers from all over Europe will be sharing the work they do in their classrooms and collaborating together on activities, forging relationships that will lead them to collaborating on projects in the future.

This year @innovativeteach (Stuart Ball) has been cloned to produce @innovativeteach2 (Jan Webb) and this new team being supervised by Steve Bessick are hoping that some of their teachers can win some of the European awards, feathers crossed they can do it!
