#TMtakeover at #BETT2011

There were so many things going on during #BETT2011 actually probably too much for one person to get round and experience especially when there were two things going on that you really wanted to see at the same time and after all that there was still the exhibition! This is fantastic to have so much choice but difficult to pack it all in. You probably know that for the second year running I believe Teachmeet takeover happened. A big thank you to all the organisers of this such as teachers like @tombarett (I am not sure who else organises it so please let me know and I will update the post), also a big thank you to all those organisations who host teachers on their stand making sure that this type of event can happen. You can see a full list of who appeared here:

I did three takeovers in total – the first was on the Nelson Thorne stand as a special favour for @johndavitt – this was awesome and a bit of a surprise as that morning I hadn’t planned to do anything but it was a great experience in fact two guys from Belgium said it was the best thing they had seen at BETT this year and that it was worth coming for that. (Now I admit it was probably the first thing they had seen ha ha but it was still nice to hear this.) In fact they then presented me with a gift a book that they said would be right up my street about innovations, in fact one of the guys dad’s had written it, you may have read it – let me know if you have.

The next two were very special because I had the priveledge of tag teaming with a very special guy, it was of course the Welsh/Italian stallion @asober (the multi award winning – see earlier posts). This was fantastic and made even more special by the really warm welcome and lovely treatment we had from the Brainpop and Scholastic stands. Thank you to the two Chris’s @brainPOP_UK and  @chrisrat for hosting us we really enjoyed presenting on your stands and had a really good time, thanks for being so generous and supportive! Of course one of my highlights was the chance to get my picture taken with Moby! Next year we promise to bring you the Moby Vs Chickenman dance off!
