This week we had a visit from Teachers TV, who were making a programme following our school being selected as doing some extremely innovative work in pupil-lead learning. Saltash.net beat off stiff opposition by some other schools in the area doing some exciting work. Charlotte Hume the programme presenter and her guest judge the children’s commissioner Maggie Atkinson picked our school as the wining school in the area.
The judges assessed each schools work on the following areas:
- How innovative and creative is your approach?
- To what extent has your approach been successful in its aims?
- To what degree has your approach improved the specific area it is targeted on?
- Why is this approach better than existing alternatives?
This was a fantastic experience for our students who are extremely excited about seeing the final programme sometime in the foreseeable future.
