They’ve got the whole world in their hands

Over the last few weeks there has been quite a bit of media attention regarding portable, mobile and hand held learning etc. In preparation for BETT in January there has been some stories in the papers about the forthcoming event.

You can see one such article here with even myself being quoted which is good coverage for our school as it really does profile some of the excellent practice that is going on there however there is a tiny issue that you may spot that the geography of where our school is located is not quite write.

Please check out the piece here:

What do you think about this? What are your feelings on so called ‘portable learning’? Do you disagree or agree with what I have said?

  2. A really good contibution to the Guardian article. When I started teaching, mobile phones were strictly banned (according to the rule book), but actually tolerated provided that they were not flaunted. Making creative use of this sort is much better..Interesting that a school is showing the way on this one – I wonder how many FE colleges are taking a similar line?

  3. Thanks for your comments Paul! Good question – it would be good to hear from some of our FE relations on what is happening there as I don’t have much contact with this sector. Any comments?

  4. Hi Walter
